Common questions
Is there really no fee on Plus/Pro?+
Yes. On Plus and Pro plans there are zero transaction fees on Open Banking (bank-to-bank) payments. Card payments via Stripe carry a 1.5% + 20p fee regardless of plan, as this is a Stripe cost we pass through.
What is UK Open Banking?+
Open Banking lets you pay directly from your bank account, without entering card details. It uses the same infrastructure as Faster Payments — money typically arrives within seconds.
Do my recipients need the app?+
No. Anyone can pay via the web link we send them. They just choose their bank, authenticate, and the payment is done — no account required.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. Cancel any time from your profile page. You keep access until the end of your billing period.
Is SplitPay regulated?+
Payment initiation services are provided under TrueLayer’s FCA authorisation. We are ICO registered and UK GDPR compliant.
